These calves originate from well-structured family farms and are raised in well-lit, ventilated barns featuring comfortable, dry resting areas. The animals are kept in small groups on straw, and high-quality feed suitable for ruminants, carefully selected (80% from own production), replaces dairy feed. This optimally adapted feeding gives the meat its distinctive pink color, which lends its name to the new quality program.
